Africa needs locally made vaccines

Africa suffers from the centralised worldwide production and distribution imbalance, as its dependence on Western manufacturers exposes it to the consequences of vaccine nationalism and procurement constraints. Africa manufactures only 1% of the vaccines used in Africa. So how does Africa extradite itself from this nightmare?
 
 
 
Dr.Connie Says: Local vaccine manufacturing is the answer. To do this the continent needs four factors:: increased financing, a focused continental goal, regulatory bodies of international reputation, and technical know-how. It also needs the will of the Western World to make this happen!
